After completing his education on lightweight design at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich and automotive engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Graz he started his career as a design engineer at BMW in 2004. In 2007 he changed to the Norwegian company Hydro Aluminum as a design engineer and later as a quality engineer. During his time in Germany, Norway and Denmark, he designed many aluminium concepts for the automotive industry. In 2010, with the transfer of Hydro Aluminum Automotive group to Benteler Aluminum Systems, he assumed the task of project manager of BMW projects. Nihat YILDIRIM, who founded ALEN GmbH – Aluminum Engineering company in 2013, provides both design and production support to the automotive industry with his company team. Particularly involved in the design of aluminium structures of BMW models, ALEN is among the leading suppliers of BMW in aluminium prototype and small series production.
